I’m thinking about deleting all the people I follow who don’t allow replies. I mean, really — if I have to re-blog something or send a private “question” just to give a quick response, that says something to me about how controlling you are that wastes a little bit of my time and/or space and makes me unhappy. So, should I respond in kind? I dunno.
Addendum: Quonkyjets, your point about popular Tumblrs is good; if I had 3,000 followers, I wouldn’t want to read, never mind manage their replies, either. But then, what would there really be to manage? The notes on all the popular Tumblr blogs I’ve seen, so far, are about 96% “Like”s, 3%”Reblog”s, and 1% actual comments. I get an impression that a lot of Tumblr users are just interested in racking-up the “Like” and “Reblog” numbers.
Is Twitter better, if I’m interested in the friendly back-and-forth? Or should I stick with Flickr? Or do I just not know how to use Tumblr properly? I already know that Facebook is not for me.
